Hello,

I have developed a Video player.

Please let me know what is the minimum hardware requirement to run
a video on my Computer ?

I tried to run on a laptop with 2 GB Ram / Intel CoreDuo 2.0 Ghz processor.
OS is Windows 10 Home. It has Intel (HD) Graphics display adapter.

I found this laptop is unable to play a video , suddenly terminates saying "Program stops working"

It worked well on other machines with minimum 4 GB Ram.

1. Is this minimum requirement (4 GB Ram) ?
2. I want my video to be played without any jerks.

Regards,

Ravindra.

Hello,

yes, usually 4 GB is the minimal requirement for video and gaming usage.
In any case, a crash is usually a symptom of a bad graphic driver or of an incompatibility between installed codecs and the graphic driver itself.
It must be also remarked that most Intel graphic drivers may suffer of a "divide by zero" bug when used under DirectShow and that could be eventually resolved by updating the driver.

Kind regards
