Title: Sound hikking/skipping using LoadInternetStream
Post by: PatrickVossen on April 22, 2016, 01:29:02 PM
Hello,

I am current facing the following:
When loading a file from https location into player-index 0 and start playing, everything is OK.
When loading a the following file (can be the same file from https or a different file from https) into player index 0 and pless play, after approximately 2.5 seconds the sound stutters.
Even when using a .closesound command, this stutter is present.

I have changed the soundcard from Onboard HD to MAYA44 USB+. This does not solve this.

The update buffer and INET settings are all default.

Please advice...

Best regards,
Patrick Vossen

Hello,

assuming that you have already verified that your Internet connection is fast enough for sustaining playback, can you reproduce the issue using the InternetRadio sample?
If yes, can you give us a http URL we could use for testing?

Hello,

Just wondered if this was ever resolved. We have the same issue.
We load an internet stream and on occasion it stutters every roughly 5 seconds.
If we close the stream and re-load it then the stutter clears.
This doesn't happen every time.

We are playing an OPUS stream and target it using the OPUS encoder direct
Internet buffer set to 1000

Hello bernie,

as mentioned in a different post from you, your problem could be due to an issue with your sound card driver.

Kind regards

Hello,

I had never mentioned what the problem was.
At the end was the problem the type of https authentication that was done on the windows server where the mp3 files were located.

Hello,

thanks for your feedback: some more detail about the issue would be welcome, just in case others could suffer the same issue  ;)

Kind Regards
