Title: AudioDJ question - WASAPI
Post by: XMan2015 on February 12, 2015, 02:36:02 PM
Hello,

I am currently evaluation your Audio DJ Studio component. I have modified the SpecialsFX sample to use WASAPI instead of a loaded sound.
I was wondering if the effects should work if I set the input to LOOPBACK ? Or I should always use CAPTURE?

I tried with LOOPBACK on a Windows 7, it it worked, I hear the FX I apply. But does not work on another machine (Windows 8.1), I just here some feedback if the device volume it set too high.

Both have a Realtec soundcard.

Is there a setting I need to change on the Windows 8 machine maybe?

I basically would like to create an FX software for anysound played on the WIndows system. Not just sound coming from the Microphone.

Thank you very much  :)
Martin

Ok I am replying to myself  ;)

The problem I had on the second PC I did my test was the StereoMix that was not enabled.

Not that it works, I will not use WASAPI too much feedback somtimes, and on some computers there is no StereoMix available.

Thank you
Martin

Hello,

the loopback device is not much intended for usage with the DJ Studio component: it's intended for usage with the recording component, allowing to record any sound being played by other applications like WinAmp and Windows Media Player.

Kind Regards
